Apollo D. Lupescu oversees the firm's efforts related to the advisor 401(k) business. He works directly with a select number of advisor clients, while at the same time serving as a 401(k) resource for other advisors looking to enter the defined contribution market or expand their retirement plan business. Apollo frequently speaks at various industry events across the country and coordinates the Dimensional advisor-oriented 401(k) events. Apollo joined Dimensional in 2004 as a regional director, and was also the manager of the client services team that provides support and analytical resources to financial advisors.

Prior to joining Dimensional, Apollo served in a variety of roles with the US Department of State, from which he formed his own consulting firm, Apollo Consulting Group. His interests in finance and investments led him to teaching engagements at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Apollo received his PhD in economics and finance from UCSB and holds a BA from Michigan State University, where he competed in and coached water polo.
